FOO Mix Volume Fifteen: Calski

Our final mix in the current FOO Mix series comes from Bristol's Calski. His latest St Andrews EP inspired by the city he lives in was the sole reason we got him to record this mix. We expect very big things from this man in the future. We asked him a few questions so you can get to know him better.
Hi, how's it going? Please can you introduce yourself and what you do.
Im Calski, im from Bristol and I make bass influenced music.
You just released the St Andrews EP on Overcooked Recordings, tell us about the release.
The EP has a few different styles on it. I tried to keep it all different rather then using the same style or synths in every tune, mainly because I bore myself easily! But I hope the fact that it has a variation of tracks it will appeal to a wider audience and touch more listeners. So far its had a really positive reaction, being played by people like 'Phaeleh' and 'My Nu Leng' which is a big honour for me because I'm a massive fan of their music. I tried to make the EP have something for every mood you're in, So if you havent heard it yet have a butchers :)
Why is it called the St Andrews EP?
There is a park in Bristol everyone goes when its sunny to have BBQ's and drinks and get high. The general vibe of the EP is summery chilled out and melow music which kind of reminded me of St Andrews on a summers day.
What's in the mix you've recorded for us?
A variation of different sounds really... all ranging from 130bpm-140bpm. I always try to keep it bouncey, energetic and interesting to listen to. its an hour of bass fueled leg shakers!
Tell us something that most people don't know about you.
I Used to play ice hockey for Bristol and Bath for 10 years.
There seems to be a very strong group of up and coming bass music producers from Bristol right now, is there anyone you think is going to smash it in the next few years?
Too many names to mention! There is some serious talent coming out of Bristol at the moment so I think the next few years are going to be really exciting for Bristol music, but I would have to say watch out for Discord, Pea Whitey, Hi5Ghost, Boofy & SlyOne in the next year or so.
Any final big ups?
Just to everyone who has supported the EP so far and the Overcooked Records famly. Its all love!
